On March 24, there will be a big protest in Washington by students and other people over the school shooting. I can't go to Washington, but how do I find out if there will be a local response if I wanted to join in? Does anyone know of a site that organizes or informs of these things? I've tried to do a search and I'm coming up with nothing.

Somehow I think high school kids who are well-networked might now. Meanwhile, you could check out your local Indivisible people to see if they know.

One of my local indivisible groups is holding a solidarity march. I don't know if they will also have one on March 24th but expect so.

Are you on Facebook? There are lots of social media events about the resistance posted there. Indivisible also has a chapter locator, I believe: https://www.indivisible.org/

Also contact your county Democratic party headquarters -- they should be working with all the resistance groups in your area.

And as far as protesting easy access to military assault weapons, see:

Ooh, thank you for the links! I'm not on facebook. I was at first and then it was a pain so I discontinued the account. Then someone hacked my facebook page and, even though it's supposed to be locked, I STILL get stupid notifications from facebook.

I did find this: https://act.moveon.org/event/mueller-firing-rapid-response-events/search/

I'm still having trouble finding local protests. We had one for "March for our Lives" and I never knew it was happening. Hmpf.

It's worth joining FB just to keep up. You can lock your profile down so that no one can post on it, and thereby save yourself a lot of aggravation.
