Any of these should work. You'll have to copy the URL to your browser, and take out the space after https: -- if I leave that space in, nothing shows in the post.

You don't use the masks. Get a plastic box large enough to put the pig and some hay in, run the tube into the box (tape it down), and lay a folded towel over the top.

I've had several pigs on nebulized medicines, and they've worked very well. I did have one with a stubborn infection that we had to add a steroid to, but even that one cleared up pretty quickly.

The only other thing I can think of is to tape the end of the tube so the mist is circulating around the box as much as possible, rather than pointing up at the towel or down at the floor.

The first time I used one, my vet warned me that the pig might be freaked out by the noise, but none of mine ever paid a bit of attention to it.

That’s what I did with taping end of the tube it goes directly to the plastic bin we cover with towel . Our Jolly don’t mind the noise it’s only 10 minutes . I just hope it will clear the infection because as much as we want him to be healthy the amount of money we have to spend is huge ,my daughter is very emotional if he gets sick ,from the beginning we have problems with Jolly health so we hope he will stay healthy for more than 5 months at a time . She even uses her own money to pay the bills and wants to become a vet . Thank you for all your tips and help .

Jolly, just an observation but I think you must have raised your daughter right. She is taking responsibility for Jolly's care including vet care. It also shows that you have taught your daughter about responsible pet ownership.

Thank you Crazy4me from the day one when she got Jolly as a gift from Santa we were telling her this is your responsibility from now on , as much as I want our Guinea pig to be healthy
And sometimes it’s hard when visits are that expensive we find a ways to care , my daughters bday are coming up in April and she doesn’t want much she wants money so she can continue care for Jolly she really touched my heart . And she wants to become a vet ... hopefully that’s how she will feel few years from now . Jolly is in antibiotic and nebulizer so hopefully it will help to clear infection totally . Thanks for your nice words .

Hello I wasn’t here for a while but here it is Jolly our 2 year old male guinea pig recently started having yellow discharge from his left eye , still eating and acting pretty normal . Took him to vet and he said it looks like virus or bacterial infection and prescribed drops . They did a rest to exclude scratching of the eye .It should have helped visibly after 5 days but it did not . Now we have to go back .... hopefully they will figure out . Back in may he had URI ,medicine and inhalator helped .afyer a month of inhalator he was good , actually after 3 days I could tell big difference . Is it possible that it’s coming back and that’s why he has eye infection ??? It seems he gets sick every 6 months . Please advise if you can . Photo attaching shortly .

I take it they looked under the eyelid to make sure there were no tiny seeds (from timothy hay, for example) under the lid? Is the eye itself inflamed when you pull back the lid?

If this is only one eye, it would point to an individual eye issue vs. a viral infection. The drops that were prescribed, what were they? It can be hard to get drops in the eye. Sometimes creams work better.

A veterinary ophthalmologist who specializes in small animals could help too if nothing works.

Lynx an exotic vet we always go to checked for eye stratches from hay and there is none I think second eye got crusty a bit too and the drops he got r Henry Schein brand Tombramycin Ophthalmic Solution, USP 0.3% twice a day drop into affected eye . It hard to get it in cause he closes eyes I have to go on his other side while my daughter holds him to trick him and put drop in .

This vet also rolled back the eyelid to check for debris under it?

What I am asking about is different from eye scratches (though the eye could be scratched under the lid which would be very hard to see).

Do you kind of pull apart the lid so the drops get on the eyeball itself?
