One of my pigs has an odd reaction when I scratch his back in a particular spot.

Normally if something´s bothering him he´ll turn his head to try and bite it, or raise a hind foot to scratch it. It´s weird though, when I scratch him in this one place he starts nibbling his front foot! He does it every time, same thing, same foot.

What´s all that about? Is it a reaction other pigs have, or is he just eccentric?

If I scratch Sherman on his belly he turns and bites where I just scratched and if he can´t reach it, he popcorns in circles.

Pigpal, one of our pigs does the exact same thing. I scratch her on her right rump, and she starts chewing her right front foot.

If I scratch Nina down her back and down her rump, she stretches her head and legs out and turns her head slightly. She seems to like it -- doesn´t run away.

Our school used to have a guinea pig called Mable, and whenever you´d try and clip her toenails, she´d start biting them. Mondo-bizarro.
