I hope it's OK to post something like this here. The LA Guinea Pig Rescue is currently dealing with a hoarding situation in Northern California that may involve as many as 600 guinea pigs. They have been going through them all to sex them and separate the males and females. They plan to take the females back to the rescue now to stop the breeding cycle, but many are already pregnant. Later, they plan to take the males, but they don't have room for all the pigs right now. The pigs have mites and many other health issues. This is a major undertaking for them and they need all the support they can get. They are asking for donations, and have Amazon wish lists set up for pellets and water bottles among other things. I just wanted to get this on people's radar in case anyone wants to help with donations, or if anyone is in the area and might be able to foster should they need it. As of right now, it doesn't look like any other rescue groups are involved. They are a wonderful organization and an excellent resource for guinea pig owners.
Here is a link to their facebook page for more information: https://www.facebook.com/laguineapigrescue/
