As far as I can tell, it's a variety of romaine. But I can't find any specific nutritional data about it. If you feed it, pay particular attention to whether your pigs produce excess urinary calcium while eating it. If they do, I wouldn't feed it.

Purslane. I believe it's a relative of portulaca. I have a nice crop of it in my driveway cracks & keep waiting to see it bloom. It never has.

Is it Emerald Jewel? The Burpee seed packet says, “Emerald Jewel Lettuce is fast growing and very productive green lettuce. Provides an abundance of tasty loose-leaf heads. Ready for harvesting in only 45 days. Can be sown in average soil outdoors and seedlings will emerge within 7-10 days.” Sounds like a form of green leaf lettuce. The Burpee site doesn’t list it but Home Depot does.

Romaine is a variety of green leaf lettuce. They're not all created equal as far as calcium excretion is concerned.

Yes, that's it. Does anyone know if it's good for them?

Ok, I meant to ask about how often they can eat it.
