Now she has diarrhea. Ugh. Do you think the dewormer and cipro is too much for her? She cries when she poops...

Could very well be. When are you giving probiotics?

I give them an hour after the antibiotics.

Now there’s blood coming from somewhere down there...this is new. :-/ And I’m leaving for the week early in the AM, so my husband has to care for her.

What are the odds she also has stones? Man I’m unlucky at this guinea pig life. :-(

Or a UTI, but with diarrhea I'd want to be sure it's not coming from her anus. Can you tell?

Not really? I mean it looks like it could be her anus.

Tips on how to tell?

Her poo has firmed up today after giving the critical care twice.

That's good, at least. Keep an eye on her...she may need a change of antibiotics. I'd be inclined to stop the anti-parasitic. What is it?

Fenbendazole - she’s had 3 doses, supposed to have two more days.

She’s still grunting with every poo

I think I'll skip the final two doses.

If she wasn't housed outside, it's EXTREMELY unlikely that she'd need to be dewormed. I'd definitely stop the med.

Ok so I’ll quit that med. Hope it helps. She’s not eating much at all and is laying around a bunch. :-(

I hope it helps, too. In the meantime, you'll need to push CC and fluids.

Update: The bleeding never happened again.
She’s still not eating much. She will eat cherry tomatoes, a little lettuce, green pepper sometimes, grapes, banana some, so we are just giving her whatever she’ll eat.

My husband did a good job keeping critical care in her though probably not enough since she’s dropped a little weight. He only fed her morning and evening. Her last dose of Cipro will be Thursday.

We are leaving tomorrow for a week, ugh, but have a great sitter who came by and learned how to feed her. We have asked her to do it 3x a day and try to get 15 ml in her at each one if at all possible.

I’m hoping her appetite returns after the antibiotics are finished.

Sadly, my Cappi passed away last night. We had just left for the beach and she seemed good, squeaking for food. The sitter said she was perky last night but when she came this AM, she had passed away in her house. :-(
