Trusted shilintong sources?
I used to order from this link on Amazon:
I tried the Far East Ginseng website but when I try to check out it says the site isn't open for business. Not sure if that's just an error but I've emailed them.
In the meantime, anyone know another trusted source? I keep finding all kinds of stuff that doesn't look anything like the tablets we've all been using for years. I hate to go without it because it has done wonders for my pigs over the years and helps my current pig with sludge.
Thanks in advance for the help.

That's the brand I have always used. Is this the Far East Ginseng website you looked on? --

I don't see where it says they're closed, but maybe I'm not looking in the right spot. Hopefully they'll respond to your email, or I guess you could just give them a call.
Let us know what you find out.

I can't vouch for any of these sellers, but I did manage to find a few sources for that brand (Yang Cheng) of Shilintong:
https://www.wellnessworks.net/product-p/sos146.htm
https://www.goldenneedleonline.com/Shi-Lin-Tong.html
Not sure if this is the same one:
https://www.kamwostore.com/Shi-Lin-Tong-p/sup00074.htm
According to this site, though, the product has been discontinued:
http://www.efooddepot.com/products/yang ... -12oz.html
Another Chinese herbal site mentioned that this product now has a new manufacturer, but I don't know how accurate the information is, as the copyright on the site was 2016.

Glad it’s not just me. I got a new bottle from that Amazon link last week and they are different. My guinea pig turned her nose up at them and she was having SUCH a hard time before she started taking the shilintong about five months ago. All the other websites I find are selling from the same place (Solstice?)
I contacted the seller on Amazon to see what happened or if they know where we can buy from the previous manufacturer. Hopefully they respond with at least a good reason for changing...

This is where I ordered mine:
https://shenclinic.com/search?q=shilintong
and I chose that one because the bottle design matched the one my vet had. But it took a while to find a place I wanted to order from.
How were your tablets different? Because now I'm wondering if these things come in different sized tablets or something.

The box and bottle look the same as what appears on your link, too.
The pills from the new distributor are the same size but are several shades darker in color (dark dark brown instead of light tan) and smell different (less sweet/maple scent) than the tablets from the previous distributor. They also don’t crush up the same way. It seems like whatever binders they use to turn it into a pill may be different.
The amazon seller (Asian foods) did reply to me, but all they said was the product from the Guangdong distributor was out of stock.
It makes me a little uncomfortable because I don’t know what is different/which one is better (or are they the same?). But I’m afraid to let her go off of it because she was in so much pain before.
I might try tossing the new ones into a food processor with a couple blueberries...
