Has there been any definitive answer as to whether pinecones are safe for piggies? I Googled it but was sent to a YouTube video showing the process for preparing pinecones for rabbits which involved soaking and baking. I've always been hesitant to even buy them in a store or online but saw some outside that looked pretty good. I doubt that either of the Munchees will take to them but thought I'd check it out. Neither one is much into toys or wood chewing.

BTW, Lynx, I had to re-register but was known as Muncheemom or Kacee. Chrome didn't remember either. It's been a while since I have posted anything.

Baked pinecones are OK. I tried it once, and trimmed the sharp points off with wire cutters before giving them to the pigs. They were completely uninterested. Big waste of my time and effort...

Ditto. I bought some a few years ago that had been baked and were marketed as "toys" or "treats" but my guys totally ignored them. I haven't wasted my money on them since.
