I got my guinea pigs one of those edible alfalfa logs (Wild Harvest Edible Logz brand from Walmart), thinking that they would hide in it and maybe chew a little bit. They normally have not chewed much on their other toys and hideaways, so I figured it would be the same with their new log. However, I was wrong; they loved it and were going to town chewing on it. I ended up taking it away for now (hard to do since they were having such fun) because I am afraid they are eating it and not sure the ingredients in the log (alfalfa and wild honey supposedly) are safe for them to have too much of.

What do you think?

Too much alfalfa, too much sugar.

That's what I kind of figured; too bad.

Ditto. Not something I'd give to mine.

I deleted your duplicate thread.
