Bladder Stone x-rays - 2 sets.

8-3-04 - initial diagnosis, belly full of gas, not much food in her system. Many stones show on the xray(I had counted 9), though they may be more difficult to see in the pictures posted.
No signs of blood or straining while urinating were present, not even prior to diagnosis. Only symptoms were weight loss and a bit of lethargy, assuming from pain of the stone present in the urethra.

10 days later, 8-13-04, two stones left after a 10 day course of bactrim and 5 days of metacam for pain. Handfeedings and subq fluids were also given during the first 5-6 days. She gained 3 ounces between this visit and the first and seems to be keeping weight on well without handfeeding(note the difference in air quantity between the sets of xrays). The repeat xrays show one more small stone in the urethra on it's way out(hopefully) and a large stone still in the bladder that may require surgical removal.

I know you already know this, but watch her for signs of blockage--wet usually, then bone dry.
When Cookie had a stone in her urethra, the vet "plucked" it out pretty easily. Are you doing sq's?
The one left looks way too big to pass.
Great x-rays, yes.

Ack! Just noticed this was in reference forum. Feel free to delete this.

No new xray's to post, just wanted to post an update to those who may wish to see one.
Faith was able to pass that stone, she did start the "normal" crying while urinating the night I suspect she passed it. But with subq's and pain meds, she came through just fine. No further problems, and her weight is going back up. I'm relieved.
