Pence and his family had just ducked into a hideaway less than 100 feet from that landing, according to three people familiar with his whereabouts, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation. If the pro-Trump mob had arrived seconds earlier, the attackers would have been in eyesight of the vice president as he was rushed across a reception hall into the office.

When the officer got to the 2nd landing he quickly glanced left to the Senate chamber to see if it was empty, then gave the rioter in the lead a little shove to keep his attention & get him to follow in the opposite direction.

The big lie. After ALL the lies trump told, you would think people would expect lying of him and not accept the big lie. I don't know how we are going to get trumpers to realize all he did was lie but I hope it happens.
