Louise - stuck bladder stone in urethra
Very sorry to read this. It's so hard to know what's best, very stressful trying to nurse them and/or obtain diagnoses, and certainly heartbreaking to lose them. .
I haven't been here for a while and was going to suggest a journal article about stone removal (unfortunately no link): Journal of Exotic Pet Medicine 36(2021) 11-15, "Non-surgical removal of urethral uroliths using a self-retaining retractor with elastic stays in female guinea pigs (2006-2019)." Sounds like maybe it was not a stone, though, in your piggy. With my Zuki, I also think shilintong helped her, plus daily metacam.
May happy memories replace your tears; Louise was lucky to have such a dedicated caregiver.
