C&C cage ideas seeking advice
Hello all, it's been a long while since I've made a post. I still own guinea pigs, where at first I had only two I have ended up keeping the two big females I mentioned a while back. So now it's a total of four female guinea pigs, 2 pairs each.
I'm reaching out because I've never had a c&c cage and I'm feeling quite a bit unsure as I want to make sure I pick the cheapest and most efficient route.
The closest thing I have to a c&c is this big kaytee/Midwest type cage for my guineas.
However I would like to incorporate a sort of L shaped table cages, two separate cages of course for my two guinea pairs. I'm wondering if I just measure and grab two cheap but sturdy tables (recommendations are sought as I'm debating some place like IKEA), and then order c&c cages from kavee or cagetopia? I have several sites open and I can afford within about 100-200 dollars in regards to a cage.
What are some recommendations for this setup? I'm choosing an L shape since it's the best fit for the guineas in my room (I have a bunny I would like to make more space for and having the guineas above ensures safety and convenience for everyone.)
Any IKEA tables that fit the bill, or any other ideas for either two separate tables or one big L shaped desk type table, if that even exists?
Sorry if this sounds silly at all, I have quite a few guinea cage sites open as well and just wondering if there's anything I'm missing honestly. I want to lay out all my options before I settle on a purchase.

C&C cages rock. There's a whole gallery of layouts on https://www.guineapigcages.com/gallery/ ... s/cages.1/
If you are handy it may be cheaper to buy the supplies and build your C&C cage from scratch.
L shape is fine. I'd go for the cheap and easy tables. Just make sure whatever setup you choose it will allow you access to all corners of the cage (nothing like having one corner out of reach, because I guarantee that's where they'll bolt to when you're trying to catch one of them!).
Have fun setting this up!

Thank you so much!! I love the gallery ideas. I'm not very handy but perhaps I can find one readily to ship/with instructions, as i only need one for now since my younger pair already have a spacious cage. I mainly need one for my older two girls, and what better chance to step into the c&c world~
As for a table(s), are there any anyone recommends? Like, would a table from Walmart or something be fine?
I just definitely don't want anything that'll pose danger such as collapsing from weight of a cage and guineas or anything.
I just want my guineas safe and happy.

My cage sits on Ikea Lack tables. Plenty sturdy and plenty storage.
(German Amazon has c&c cages for sale, so maybe other Amazon sites may have them too.)

I think L-shape is an excellent idea. It provides longer distances for them to move. Activity is important. And if you put water and food at opposite ends, they’ll get more exercise.
The last cage I built I put on storage cubbies from Target. I bought the larger 13” size, and put 2 of the 6-cube ones together, one in front of the other. They also have 3-cube sizes which might work for the L.

This is an older post but I wanted to mention that I had an L shaped cage for space once - it is a benefit of a C&C cage to configure it how you need for your space and pigs. I use folding tables for mine, one of which I got from Freecycle.
