I have dealt with my fair share of dried boar glue issues over the years, but I have never run into this particular problem and could use some suggestions. One of our guys has hardened boar glue on his back foot, between his toes. It is actually "cementing" all of his toes on that foot together. I tried cutting as much of it off as I could, but it didn't make much of a difference. It seems uncomfortable when I mess with it, so I'm trying to be careful but I don't really know of a good way to dislodge it. Any thoughts?

Have you thoroughly soaked the foot in, say, mineral oil? Or slathered it and perhaps wrapped it after covering it with coconut oil? I think of the oil slowly penetrating between flesh and glue to separate it.

I haven't tried that yet. It's a good idea. I tried Dawn Dishwashing Liquid but it didn't put a dent in it. I will see if I can use some Coconut Oil on it next.

Shoot, can you do me a favor and correct my post title? Should be "Boar Glue Cleaning Question." Argh. Thanks, Lynx.

I can do that. I actually thought that was your intended title! Blue glue would make interesting boar glue!

By the way, my mailman, who has been struggling to get comfortable in a new USPS truck, uses KT patches to help support his leg and back muscles.

He gave me one to try, I ended up using it on my shoulder. Unsure if it was put on so it would help much - they can be left on for several days. It was a bear to get off. He said baby oil takes it off really easily. So something to seep between the guinea pig parts and the glue really might help.
