Got Wilber's urn back and his memorial frame done. Ran out of room on the existing shelves, so the guinea pig wall of fame will need more shelving. I'll be adding that and getting Wilber in his final resting place in the next couple of days. Once that's done, I'll post pictures. Thanks for the condolences. It means a lot and it helps me deal with his loss.

It's hard to need more space to remember those you have lost. Take care of yourself.

Poor Wilber. With everything that has been going on, I still haven't gotten his urn and picture frame up. It's one of the many things I've had to put off while I recover from surgery. I thought I had more of the wood that the shelf for the guinea pig urns is made from, but it turns out that I don't. The solution was to get enough new shelves to replace the existing one and extend it. They're decorative, so it'll look a lot better. It's on my list of things to do near the top. Once done, I'll post some photos.

Grady is doing well by himself. He's such a sweet boy. I feel so bad for him because he's never been alone before. It's affecting me more than him, I think. Either way, he's been the beneficiary of a lot more lap time and cuddles. He's taken up purring so I'm pretty sure he doesn't mind one bit. He not only stopped running to the corner when I pick him up, he even comes to the front of the cage for me. He's also got Gilligan and Skipper right next to him and they help keep him company. He's going to be okay.

Sounds like Grady is becoming even more of a people person.

I know how much you enjoy your guinea pigs and miss those who are gone.

Finally got the guinea pig wall of fame reconfigured. It looks much better with the new shelves. I'm glad that it's finally done. There's room to expand it, but I'm hoping I don't have to for a long time.

While I was at it, I looked over the sympathy cards I have and I saw that they put Oreo's paw prints on his. I've looked over those cards many times and I never noticed that before. He's the only one they did that for. It gave me a warm feeling.

Wow, that looks so nice. And the cards mean so much when you lose a sweet little soul.

I did the bedding change for the piggies and decided to snap some photos of them all. With Grady, it's nearly impossible to get his picture while he's in the pen. He's still very excitable and runs around too much to get a clear photo. He's not scared. He's excited. It's almost as hard to get a clear shot of him in his cage too. He's just so high strung (in a good way) He's doing well on his own.
